About the Role

Rolling Suds is hiring a dependable Kitchen Hood & Exhaust Cleaning Technician to join our team based out of our Alexandria, VA warehouse.

We strongly prefer someone with hands-on commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning experience who already understands the process and can complete jobs with minimal supervision. This includes protecting the kitchen, cleaning hoods, filters, ductwork, and exhaust fans, and leaving the work area clean and ready for use.

Kitchen hood and exhaust cleaning is the primary focus of this position, with commercial power washing duties as needed.

Responsibilities

Clean commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, filters, accessible ductwork, and rooftop exhaust fans
Follow applicable NFPA 96 requirements and company cleaning procedures
Protect kitchen equipment and surrounding surfaces before cleaning, and contain and collect wastewater
Safely operate pressure washing equipment and apply degreasers
Inspect systems before and after cleaning, take service photos, and report deficiencies or inaccessible areas
Complete cleanup and ensure the kitchen and work area are ready to return to service
Perform commercial exterior power washing as needed
Maintain company equipment, vehicles, and tools
Communicate professionally with customers and supervisors
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements

Qualifications

Previous commercial kitchen hood and exhaust cleaning experience strongly preferred; pressure washing experience alone is not equivalent
Familiarity with kitchen protection, grease removal, duct cleaning, and rooftop exhaust fan cleaning
Ability to work independently and complete jobs thoroughly with minimal supervision
Comfortable with physical work, lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and working on rooftops
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
Availability for overnight, evening, and early morning work
Reliable transportation to our Alexandria, VA warehouse
Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and a professional attitude

Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
